Common Name: Callery pear
Origin/Ecology: Native to China and Vietnam
Habit: Pyramidal, upright, to 15 m tall, 15 m wide.
Leaves: Oval leaves 4-7 cm long, glossy dark green above, slightly paler below.
Leaf Arrangement: alternate
Flowers and Fruit: White, five-petaled flowers are about 2 to 3 cm in diameter. They are produced abundantly in early spring, before the leaves expand fully. Fruit are brown pomes.
Water Use, Soil: Well-drained, rocky or gravelly or dry.
